I was Thinking...Jesus' Call upon our Lives

Episode 20 June 27, 2023 I was thinking…about Jesus’ calling upon our lives. I believe many believers (aka followers of Christ) have the idea that Jesus’ calling is only for Pastors, missionaries, etc. Yes, Jesus does call men AND women to full-time ministry yet Jesus calls all of us to “make disciples of all nations,” (Matthew 28:19). This call is not JUST for the pastor, missionaries, etc. This is for all people. How do we follow this call? We follow the call by following the leading of Jesus. Jesus tells us in the Gospel of Matthew, “the harvest is plentiful, yet the laborers are few.”
It is interesting that a couple of verses before tells us, “When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew 9:36). Throughout the Gospels it tells us that Jesus took compassion on them. We are to follow His leading. To continue on in Matthew 9 “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest fields.” Each one of us are the workers and with such, all are suppose to get out in the harvest fields and help those in need. Ask the Lord of the harvest to put you in the right place, at the right time, with the right words, and the right person to bring glory to His name. Your Friend in the journey, PCC

I believe defining the two is vital in this personal discussion. to critiquing: give an opinion or judgment about a piece or work, book, movie, etc criticism: the act of giving your opinion or judgment about the good or bad qualities of something or someone Hey guess what, these two things are very, very similar!! I Was Thinking....About Feelings

  January 13, 2023 Episode 17   I was thinking…About feelings.  Yes, I said feelings.  😊    I do have feelings!  I just have difficulty showing them.  Why is it it’s so easy to get our feelings hurt?  How do we over come getting hurt, angry, frustrated, Etc.?  I was thinking about this while I steam cleaned the carpets at the church and let me tell you that the carpets at the church really needed cleaned!!  What do you think of when you think of carpets?  It’s a place that you walk.  Things rest upon it?  It holds things (dirt, water, etc). It takes a beating!   Compare that to feelings.  Don’t our feelings take a beating?  Can’t someone race through different emotions in a short amount of time???? When we engage with other people throughout our day we stack different emotions on top of each other just like a carpet collects the junk and crud that falls on it as well as the weight of other items resting heavily on it.  Don’t we do this?  Don’t we do this?  Allowing the junk of the day

I was thinking about....FREEDOM

July 3, 2023 Episode 22 I was thinking…About FREEDOM. This being the 3rd of July, the only obvious thing to be thinking about is FREEDOM! Even though today is a Monday and the 4th is on Tuesday, there seemed to be a lot of activities going on over the weekend and that has made me wonder why is it, we only seem to be worried about freedom once a year. Are we truly thankful for our freedom? People will cook out, go camping, go fishing, watch hot air balloons and watching fireworks. I’m truly surprised that with the way society is going (its “wokeness), the freedom to celebrate freedom has not been taken away. There is one freedom that nobody can take away and that is our freedom from sin. I love how Galatians 5:1 says, “Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand!
