I Was Thinking and still Thinking about....

 Episode 5: November 2, 2022

 

So there are actually two I was thinking today.  I forgot to post yesterdays blog yesterday, so I did it earlier.  So here is today’s this evening.  I was thinking….why and our how did this “WAKE” culture come about?  is this just a farce on people trying to get their way on people who do not agree with their cause. This is sad!  What would happen to our world if we all agreed and saw things the exact same way? Then we would all be behaving the same way.  

 

This reminds of a scripture passage 1 Corinthians 12:17-20 “17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.”

 


We are all different and because of that difference we are strong.  Just as if we were all an eye, how would we hear?  If we cave to the woke culture that is going on today then we will find ourselves in a socialistic society being told what we can and cannot do, what we can and cannot say.  I do not know about you but I do not want to live in a society where someone controlling your words, thoughts and actions.  I am not a puppet!! I love this country!! 

 

If I was a betting man (depends) I would bet someone will say, “Chap” being a Christian is like what you described.  Jesus tells us what to do, not do, say and not say. There is a difference!  Jesus wants to be in a relationship with us and gives us guidance on how to live.  It is not manipulating people to believe a certain way.  With Jesus there is Freedom.  With woke culture there is bondage.

 

This is what I was thinking and still thinking about…

I Was Thinking....About Feelings

  January 13, 2023 Episode 17   I was thinking…About feelings.  Yes, I said feelings.  😊    I do have feelings!  I just have difficulty showing them.  Why is it it’s so easy to get our feelings hurt?  How do we over come getting hurt, angry, frustrated, Etc.?  I was thinking about this while I steam cleaned the carpets at the church and let me tell you that the carpets at the church really needed cleaned!!  What do you think of when you think of carpets?  It’s a place that you walk.  Things rest upon it?  It holds things (dirt, water, etc). It takes a beating!   Compare that to feelings.  Don’t our feelings take a beating?  Can’t someone race through different emotions in a short amount of time???? When we engage with other people throughout our day we stack different emotions on top of each other just like a carpet collects the junk and crud that falls on it as well as the weight of other items resting heavily on it.  Don’t we do this?  Don’t we do this?  Allowing the junk of the day

I was thinking about....FREEDOM

July 3, 2023 Episode 22 I was thinking…About FREEDOM. This being the 3rd of July, the only obvious thing to be thinking about is FREEDOM! Even though today is a Monday and the 4th is on Tuesday, there seemed to be a lot of activities going on over the weekend and that has made me wonder why is it, we only seem to be worried about freedom once a year. Are we truly thankful for our freedom? People will cook out, go camping, go fishing, watch hot air balloons and watching fireworks. I’m truly surprised that with the way society is going (its “wokeness), the freedom to celebrate freedom has not been taken away. There is one freedom that nobody can take away and that is our freedom from sin. I love how Galatians 5:1 says, “Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand!
