Illegal or not Illegal that is the Question

So, what are your thoughts on kids these days? Why is it, it seems to be they feel as though they are entitled? Why is this? It seems to be that there needs to be shift in their thinking. As I write this, I think of the recent New York City Mayor elections. Zorahn Mamdoni was just elected as Mayor of New York City, NY and Katie Wilson won the election for Mayor of Seattle, OR. What do they have in common? Both are claiming to be Socialists? Katie Wilson and Zohran Mamdani are both newly elected progressive mayors of major U.S. cities who ran on similar platforms…”left-wing platforms focused on affordability and social services. Key Common Ground Political Ideology: Both are self-described socialists or democratic socialists, although Mamdani is an official member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), while Wilson is not affiliated with the Seattle DSA chapter.” Why is it that kids these days are sucked into this sideways false truth of socialist ideology that comes with it?! What kind of people think it’s better to get from those who have and give to those who don’t. We do not have a living Robin Hood these days that takes from the poor and gives to the needy. What is so wrong with trying to make yourself better and to do better. Why is it, that there are those (socialist) who want to take from those who have and give to those who are not willing to try?
This is really where I struggle. Many people I respect say that we should be an open arm for those who are in the country illegally. I agree and disagree with this statement. Those who are being persecuted should be allowed protections and those who have a rap sheet, should be held responsible for their actions. I believe that those who are here illegally should have a background check because there seems to be a number of those who are swooped up by ICE that have history in sexual assault that are in this country illegally. I believe that many of you will disagree with me on this statement. President Donald Trump seems to be trying to protect Americans and wants to get rid of the riffraff and those bad people and keep American citizens safe. I whole heartily agree that if you are here illegally and have a sketchy background that you need to get out of the United States. If you are here illegal and are safe without a criminal background, you can work the system and be a legal citizen. The United States is the best country in the World!

I was thinking about....FREEDOM

July 3, 2023 Episode 22 I was thinking…About FREEDOM. This being the 3rd of July, the only obvious thing to be thinking about is FREEDOM! Even though today is a Monday and the 4th is on Tuesday, there seemed to be a lot of activities going on over the weekend and that has made me wonder why is it, we only seem to be worried about freedom once a year. Are we truly thankful for our freedom? People will cook out, go camping, go fishing, watch hot air balloons and watching fireworks. I’m truly surprised that with the way society is going (its “wokeness), the freedom to celebrate freedom has not been taken away. There is one freedom that nobody can take away and that is our freedom from sin. I love how Galatians 5:1 says, “Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! April 10, 2023 Episode 21 I was thinking about….criticism vs critiquing. I believe this is a fine line that people walk when events are going on and that people get these two things mixed up. I believe defining the two is vital in this personal discussion. to critiquing: give an opinion or judgment about a piece or work, book, movie, etc criticism: the act of giving your opinion or judgment about the good or bad qualities of something or someone Hey guess what, these two things are very, very similar!! If not the same. The act of giving your opinion or judgement….. that is not a bad thing to do, especially when people ask for it. “Good or bad qualities” this is where things get sticky like fly paper.
